The Naughtiest Girl is A Monitor: 3 is the third book in the Naughtiest Girl series created by Enid Blyton. When Elizabeth is selected to become the monitor of her school, Whyteleafe, she is extremely happy. But even though she tries very hard, things start going wrong. She starts taking her new responsibilities a bit too seriously and goes as far as accusing her best friend, Julian, of stealing.
Elizabeth gets into trouble and no one in the school wants to be her friend. Four new kids have been introduced in this book: Martin, who has no friends in the school, Arabella, who is selfish with an attitude, Rosemary, who is a shy girl and Julian, who is intelligent and funny. Elizabeth continues being naughty as in the previous two books in the series even when she does not want to be so and this is what makes this book even more interesting.
In this book, Arabella, the vain new girl, does not get along with Elizabeth from the very beginning due to her superior attitude and sophisticated mannerism.
